I’m no expert but it seemed like BJS won at least 2 if not 3 rounds but wouldn’t argue with Canelo being ahead
Block - yea, Eubank clearly has a massive chip on his shoulder and I wonder how he’d be feeling now if the worst had happened to BJS.
Having said that, BJS was showed a similar level of cuntiness towards Dubois when Joyce smashed his eye socket and BJS said he’d rather die than quit. Clearly telling porky pies ...

Problem for BJS in the later rounds would've been fatigue and pain. Those punches from Canelo would hurt even more in the last 3 or 4 rounds. I wouldn't be sure if BJS would've still been physically capable to take the fight to Canelo in the later rounds.
Fair play to him though. Getting into a ring with Canelo is one of the bravest things a person can do. Respect.

I had Canelo ahead also. I felt as though Saunders was improving enough to be in a chance to win the later rounds but that uppercut was always going to be a big danger for him.
Canelo has unreal power in his punches.

I don't think Saunders was busy enough. He knew he lacked the firepower to stop Canelo so had to win on points and, for me, he didn't do enough. He should've been constantly buzzing in and out and jabbing continuously. Nicking points.
But, some rounds he was a little too defensive and wasn't doing enough.
All, well and good me saying that as i wasn't the one in there potentially walking onto one of Canelo's bombs. But I can only say it how I see it.
I don't think Canelo was ever worried he was going to get KO'd or was ever losing on points. It seemed to me to be just a matter of time.
I never saw the punch that did the damage but you knew straight away. Saunders was just backing off as the pain must've been unbearable. Imagine feeling that pain and shock knowing that any second Canelo could smash you in the broken eye socket. Frightening.

Canelo didnt have to win rounds he knew what was coming. Fight wasnt even close despite the scorecards. Took a few rounds to work out BJS head movements then timed him perfectly.
Cant see anyone beating Canelo unless he moves even further up in the weight classes.

I had Saunders winning. I thought he was boxing well, but the power Canelo carries was the difference. I'd love to see a rematch, but it'll never happen and we don't yet know the long-term damage to BJS's eye.

It’s true that Canelo gets the benefit from the judges, but I still had him up on points. He won the first 3 rounds and definitely the eighth.
He is the best out there at the moment. A beast.

Enjoyed that fight if not the way it ended, but my lad an I called eye socket straight away, no way back from that
That said, I thought an outgunned Saunders did well, what he lacked in power he made up for in speed and movement, it's a pity he does not carry the whack to capitalise on the openings he created
I'm open to being corrected, but I did not agree with the cards, just didn't see what they scored. Canelo landed the heavier shots but Billy was the busier
So as we knew, to beat him, you need to beat the judges too, and don't forget his butcher .....
